AmTiquing Trivia:

English Pottery from Bellevue Pottery

Image of Bellevue Pottery; Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire, England
Bellevue Pottery; Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire, England
John Ridgway of Shelton, and two gentlemen named Smith, founded the earthenware manufactory here in 1802, but the partnership was dissolved in 1804. In 1806 the works again came into the possession of Job Ridgway and his brother George, who continued them until 1816, when they were succeeded by Bell. Cream color, green glaze and blue printed earthenware were the staple production.
