Minton and Company

Minton and Company; Stoke-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, England
Founded by Thomas Minton in 1788, the company was H. Minton & Co., 1858-1883. In 1883 Colin Minton Campbell, T. W. Minton, and Herbert Minton Senhouse formed a limited liability company, Mintons, Ltd. The printed names 'Minton' and 'Minton & Co.' were impressed marks, and were not used before 1861. The globe was adopted as a trade-mark in 1868.
