AmTiquing Trivia: Minton Pottery at Stoke-upon-Trent
Minton Pottery; Stoke-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, England Founded in 1788 by Thomas Minton, the company became Minton and Poulson in 1798, then Minton, Poulson and Pownall in 1809. From 1817 to 1836 it was again controlled by Thomas Minton on his own, though from 1823 to 1831 it was characterized as Minton and sons with Herber Minton and Thomas Webb Minton joining their father.
